Thai Girls

I met my Thai bride about 5 years ago. Her name is Suwan and she is from Bangkok. I met her while actually walking at MBK. She owned her own web side design company and I was smitten with her from the beginning. I’ve always loved they way Thai girls look but something was different about her. I really didn’t know until about 5 months later.

We have been married for a few years now and we have welcomed a son and a daughter into the world. It has been nothing but a pure joy living her in Thailand with Suwan. Other Thai girls go un-noticed these days. We spend almost every day together. My work here in Thailand takes me to Chiang Mai and down to Trang but that is ok for she sometimes comes with me.

Having a Thai bride has been very interesting. When we first decided to get married I had no idea what her family would think. I have since become the son her dad never had. He is a great guy and although the family was a bit reluctant in the beginning, they have all come around. It’s not everyday that a foriegner marries a Thai girl in their village.

The ceremony was strange and bizarre and all in a good way. Weddings that I’ve been to in the states are nothing compared to Thai brides. Just to put something to rest, there was NO dowry fee and I’ve never been asked for one so I do believe that may be a myth. Who knows.

After the wedding we spent 2 weeks in New York where my family is from and they all got to meet my new Thai bride. They did not have a chance to fly to Thailand for the wedding so we had a huge ceremony in New York. My mother isn’t quite capable of flying long distances these days but she sure does love Suwan and her new grand children.

My name is Jim and I wanted to send you this letter about my Thai wife. It’s an interesting story and I’d be happy if you posted it on your site. I really love Thai women and even though I’m an old man, it’s a happy story.

The first time I came to Thailand was during the Vietnam war. This was a very sad time for a lot of people in South East Asia but I was working a supply company in East Thailand. That is where I met Sinsu. She was the same age that I was and we hit it off straight from the getgo. I could not speak in Thai and she could not speak any English. This is funny now because in hindsight it was not funny. Imagine a farang and a Thai girl that can’t communicate with their mouths but saw beauty in one another. I do believe it was love at first sight.

Well, we had 9 months together there in Thailand and I eventually had to go back to Seattle, from which I was from. I had her address and and we wrote back and forth. We had to use a translation service in order for the letters to be understood. I told her that I would be back very soon. In the mean time I would try to learn her language and her mine. It was 2 years before I got back to Thailand. She was still waiting for me.

Nothing changed with Sinsu. She still looked the same and I do believe I looked a bit older. Well, that was about over 30 years ago and we are still together. We got married in Thailand and although she wanted to come to America, it seemed very difficult and a lot of paperwork so I decided that I would live in Thailand. After a couple more years in the military, I got out and high tailed it to Thailand.

Sinsu is my Thai wife and I’ve never looked back or at another woman. Each day is filled with love. She is as beautiful as she was the day I met her. Nothing changed. I’ve got a lot more wrinkles on my face but that’s about it. I sure do love her. We work together in her cafe and we spend our weekends running around town. Thailand has given me a life like no other. I don’t care what the naysayers say about things that go on in Thailand. I’ll never leave here…

From Daniel & Nitapan: I met Nitapan, a Thai girl, in Khon Kaen. I spotted her in a crowed cafe there and was too shy to go up to her. So, I asked my friend to go talk to her. Now I’m an older guy and a lot of my friends ask me why I don’t go for younger Thai girls. That’s simple. I’m 57 years old and what am I going to do with a 20 year old Thai girl? I know what you’re thinking but I’m not like that. I like Thai girls that have experience under their belts. I like Thai girls that have life experience. You know….

So my friend went over and asked her for her cell number and I called her from the table. That was the funniest thing I’ve ever done. It was great, she came over and we all talked for a bit and I took her out to dinner that next day. That was the beginning of the whole thing.

She doesn’t have much family and we don’t have any children of our own. We are a bit too old to be having children so we’ll just be living our lives Thailand style. Before coming back here to Udon Thani we were in Canada for a bit of time meeting my family. I hope you enjoy the photo.

People ask me why I like Thai girls and there really is no real answer for that question. Somehow Thai girls just want a man that can take care of them. They love cooking for their man and if you treat them right, then they treat you right. From my experience, Thai girls are not as materialistic as a lot of Western girls. Not saying that they don’t love to shop, Thai girls love to shop. It’s just they know how to treat a man.

All in all it’s great being married to a Thai girl. There are so many positives and believe me, the positives out weigh the negatives. Sure we have some arguments but who doesn’t and it’s not about money either. So, I don’t care what some people say about Thai girls, I love them and I married a beauty. Inside and out!

From Ken & Benjawan: I met a beautiful Thai girl named Benjawan about a couple years ago via this site and we haven’t left each others side since. It’s been a great couple years and we knew from the start that it was going to work out. You know when you meet the right Thai girl that things will be good.

I can remember the first time we met. Her eyes got big as well as mine and it seemed like I was in store for a huge ride. One that I welcomed with openarms. I knew it would last and I was ready to get started.

Benjawan is a Thai girl that comes from the Northeast (Issan). She comes from a modest family. Her family is so nice. When I say that we haven’t left each other, I mean it. Not one day has passed that we have been apart.

I’ve been a traveler of Thailand for many years and I knew that I wanted to meet a Thai girl. There is something about Thailand and it’s beautiful Thai girls that really drives me crazy. From their appearance to their simple lifestyle. Benjawan has an awesome sense of humor and we laugh all the time. I feel that having laughter in your marriage and or relationship is key. If you don’t have fun together then you will most likely have problems. That’s just my take on it.
