I want to thank all the beautiful Thai girls that have come before me and say my goodbyes to you all. When i got out on a date with a Thai girl, I never spend that much. So, not saying Thai girls are cheap. They are just not expensive! Traveling around Thailand cost little to nothing. I can do a first class sleeper on the train to Chiang Mai for about 30 bucks round trip. Have you seen the Thai girls in the North? Come on! Anyway, it’s all about living in the Land of Smiles. I talked to her on her mobile for 4 days before we arranged a date. Thai girls date differently than Western girls. They always want to know more about you and the more Thai you know, the better!

We went to MBK, which is a mall if you are not familiar with it. It’s a huge mall. It’s full of Thai girls and their Thai friends. You’ll also find Western tourist there too. I’m not a big fan of going shopping on a first date at a mall with foreign tourist but oh well.

We met at the McDonalds on the first floor near the hair salon. This Thai girl had 2 friends with her so I was a bit taken back. Do Thai girls always show up with their friends on first dates? Well, the answer is 75% yes. Thai girls are a bit shy in person but this was not a problem for me. I’ve dated a few Thai girls while living here in Thailand and most are shy. Hell, i’m shy!

After the first initial exchanges they were all impressed with my Thai language. I have to say that I was too. It’s kind of cool to talk to Thai girls in Thai. It’s very interesting to talk in Thai because you can practice your skills at it. Thai girls will also correct you if you make a mistake which again is no problem.

We had lunch at a place that I don’t recall. They put boiling water in front of you and you pick the stuff that you want to put in. It’s kind of like fondue but without the cheese. Thai girls and Thais for that matter love this stuff. It’s a bit bland for me but I ate it.

Then ALL the Thai girls wanted ice cream. Now, let me stop for a second, Thai girls will always put up money to pay. I offered to take it all and kind of insisted but these Thai girls wanted nothing to do with that. SO, we all paid.

Next we ALL went to a movie to see some film about Thai mafia. It was sub-titled so i had to read it.

Well, after the movie, the Thai girls left her friend with me. That was a good thing. We continued to walk around MBK then she offered for us to go to Lumpini in Bangkok. That was cool.

Well after a great date, we finally went back to her condo and watched a DVD of Spiderman. Finally, I got to watch a movie and hear it in English. She had to read the sub-titles to keep up!

Thai girls seem to be very sweet and flirty. I love this part of a Thai girl. Just the other day I was standing in McDonalds of all places on Sukhumvit road near Asoke BTS and was ordering myself just a regular hamburger with some fries and a coke. Your average American lunch right? hehe. I turned around and there she was. This amazing Thai girl with her friends. She must have been about 30 years old. Tall slender and all things, blue eyes. Clearly they were contacts but I just kept turning around.

How many times does one guy have to turn around to pretend to look somewhere else before the Thai girl notices that he is looking at her? Well, apparently 5 times was not enough! So I kept doing it. Now, granted I have a pretty good command of the Thai language but there are times when I do sound like I just started speaking it. So, I finally turned around and sayed “Sabai Di Mai, Yin Dee Tee Di Ru Jak Kun Khap” which loosly translated means “How are you, Nice to meet you”.

She started speaking to me in a version of Thai that I could not under keep up with. You know, the fast version! So, I kept saying “cha cha” which is Thai for “Slow Down”. I just couldn’t keep up! So, she took a deep breath and proceeded to speak slower. To my amazement, I could now understand each word she was saying. I now was able to understand a beautiful Thai girl!

To make a long story short, I sat down with my meal and they came and sat at the next table beside me. She would not stop looking at me. It would seem that the tables had turned. This time she was not trying to not look at me, for she would look right at me and giggle. I wondered was it something I had on me or did I look like some strange ugly farang? Nope, she thought I was cute. So what do I look for in a Thai girl? All that!

Sounds strange but what I look for in a Thai girl is the flirtatious and laughable side to them.

It would seem that the Thai girls I met that day seemed to be 100% of what I look for.

Oh, and we went out 3 times and then i found out she had a boyfriend!
